Tootega kayaks have been tinkering with their popular Pulse 85 and reduced the weight of the boat further - in fact, by almost almost 20%! - great news for sit on paddlers.

Weighing in at a meagre 14kg the brand's new 'Hydrolite' Pulse 85 is now one of the lightest adult sit on top kayaks available. The new Pulse 85 Hydrolite will appeal to a wider range of paddlers - some of whom may have discounted sit ons due to their perceived heavy nature. The Tootega design team have drawn on all their experience and passion for the ocean to make a kayak which performs in the surf, whilst still retaining great characteristics for those flat day paddles.

The Tootega Pulse 85 is made using cutting edge design and manufacturing processes to make the Pulse both highly durable and lightweight. Combined with perfectly positioned carry handles the Pulse 85 is easy to carry down the beach and also easy to get on and off a roof rack. The Pulse 85 comes with a central screw topped hatch for storage, as well as a water bottle. The Pulse 85 is also fitted with anchor points for attaching backrest and thigh straps.
