VE Carbon Pro - 1pc Carbon Shaft WW Paddle

VE's Aircore carbon blade on a one piece straight carbon shaft, the lightest fixed length build in the range. Carbon through both blade and shaft gives a stiffer, more immediate feel, with more of your effort going into the water rather than into flex. If you paddle hard and often, the weight saving is the thing you notice first.

The Pro is VE's largest and most aggressive whitewater blade. Power arrives the moment the blade is in the water and keeps driving through to the exit, with the shape concentrating force towards the tip. Paired with a full carbon build there is very little between your effort and the water, which is why it suits freestyle and hard river running.

• 740 cm² blade area
• Aircore carbon prepreg blade on a one piece straight carbon shaft
• Shaft diameter 30.6 mm, ground and waxed grip with ovalised indexing
• 30° or 45° right hand feather as standard

Other ways to have the Pro
A glass shaft under the same carbon blade keeps a little more flex and costs less. The all glass build is heavier but tougher and better value, and remains our most popular option. A cranked carbon shaft puts your wrists in a more neutral position, which many paddlers find more comfortable and which is worth considering if you have had wrist, elbow or shoulder trouble, though it comes down to personal preference. A two piece version adds length and feather adjustment on the bank and packs down for travel, expeditions or a spare.
