Whetman Equipment Sea Kayak Paddle Cuffs

Paddle Cuffs hold a spare paddle shaft on the bow deck of a sea kayak, somewhere you can get at it in a hurry rather than buried under a deck bungee. They wrap around the decklines you already have, so there is nothing to drill and nothing to bolt on.

The advantage over a bungee is that the paddle comes out cleanly when you pull it and goes back just as easily while you are still sitting in the boat. Anyone who has tried to restow a split paddle afloat with cold hands will see the point straight away.

Fitting takes a couple of minutes on the bank. Wrap the webbing around the decklines and fasten the velcro underneath, then use the red cord to tie the cuff off to a deck fitting or to the deckline itself so it cannot travel along the deck once it is loaded.
