Description
A compact single pulley with fixed side plates, built for haul systems and load deviations. The fixed plates mean the rope feeds in from the side and the pulley couples easily with a rope clamp or prusik, and the sheave runs on self-lubricating bushings. It is the sturdier of Petzl's two basic pulleys and takes rope up to 13 mm, which gives it room for a throwline rather than just thin accessory cord.

If weight matters more than outright strength, the Petzl Oscillante Pulley is 38 g and has swinging side plates so it can be rigged mid-line, at the cost of a lower breaking strength and a narrower rope range.
